Stories That Matter

In an era of endless scrolling and disposable content, the world doesn’t need more “noise”, it needs a pulse. As a director-screenplay writer, I believe that every frame is an opportunity to bridge the gap between a story and a human heart.

My work isn't just about high-end glass or perfect lighting, it's about finding the raw, unscripted truth that makes an audience stop and feel something. Whether it’s a quiet documentary piece or a bold commercial narrative, I dedicate myself to the belief that the most powerful stories are the ones that reflect our shared humanity.

I don’t just capture footage, I build legacies for those who have something real to say. Let’s stop chasing trends and start telling stories that actually matter. Let's start feeling again.

Filmmaker | Storyteller | Visionary

I straddle the middle ground of hybrid filmmaking, where I let my documentary truth-seeking technique bleed into my fiction thrill-seeking for structural connections and vice versa. I find that way I can be more innovative and milk that emotional impact.

Experience

Over the years, I've woven stories through journalism, essay writing, filmmaking, and curating a festival that celebrates diverse voices. Passion fuels every project I take on, but intentionality is my raison d’être. I want to be known for films that score big on driving social impact and behavioural change. Stories that are transformative, informative, and far-reaching.

As a filmmaker, I consider myself fortunate to work with a medium that can convey power subtly and amusingly. The purpose of this power is to empower and encourage others. This is something that I do not take lightly, and I always aim to serve the audience's needs and fulfil the mission of telling the story to the best of my ability.

As a Writer and Filmmaker
As a Festival Curator

Our mission is to transform the global heart of environmental policy into a vibrant stage for “Green Storytelling” and climate narratives. My role as a curator involves hand-selecting a tapestry of films that move beyond the typical “doom and gloom” of climate data, focusing instead on people-led solutions, indigenous wisdom, and the raw resilience of our communities. We believe that through the lens of a camera, we can rewrite the narrative of our planet’s future, ensuring that voices are not just heard, but leading the global conversation on climate justice.

Nairobi Climate Film Festival is held annually and is open to climate-biased films from all over the world. We encourage filmmakers to apply with films that fit the theme, usually reflective of the environmental direction set by the United Nations. The screening is open to the public, stakeholders, and climate activists either free of charge or at a nominal fee, capped to cover the festival’s costs and not for profit.
